Co-founder and CEO of Integrative Insights, Julie is former California Secretary of Trade and Commerce and retired CEO of the San Diego Regional EDC. She serves on the Board of Advisors of the top-ranked Jacobs School of Engineering and of the California Institute for Telecommunications and Information Technology (Calit2), both at the University of California San Diego. Julie has served as an advisor to The Okinawa Institute of Science & Technology (OIST) and the California Council on Science and Technology (CCST) and as a consultant to Ceresti Health. In 2020, she stepped down from the board of directors of Sharp HealthCare after nine years. She is a Senior Fellow of CCST and a Senior Fellow of the US Council on Competitiveness. Julie has her BA from the University of Maryland and completed the Stanford Advanced Management College.
Co-founder and Chief Technology Officer Amarnath Gupta PhD, is a research scientist at the San Diego Supercomputer Center (SDSC) of the University of California San Diego and director of the Advanced Query Processing Laboratory. His primary areas of research include semantic information integration, large-scale graph databases, ontology management, event data management, and query processing techniques.
Before joining UC San Diego, he was the Chief Scientist at Virage, Inc., a startup company in multimedia information systems. Dr. Gupta has authored over 100 papers and a book on Event Modeling, holds 13 patents, and is a recipient of the 2011 ACM Distinguished Scientist award.
Amarnath received his Bachelor of Technology from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur, a Master of Science in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Texas, Arlington, and his Ph.D. (Engineering) degree in Computer Science from Jadavpur University, India.
Co-founder and Chief Information Officer Subhasis Dasgupta, Ph.D., is a Data and Computational Researcher in the San Diego Supercomputer Center at the University of California San Diego as well as a Lecturer in the UCSD Rady School of Management. He was previously a researcher at the Indian Statistical Institute as well as a systems engineer, director, and founder of Kaavo India and its first US employee. Kaavo was ranked as a top-25 cloud vendor by Information Week in 2008-2009. Earlier, he worked for a Canadian startup company, DataInfoCom Inc., as a software engineer, that served to many Fortune 500 companies, including Dell and Microsoft.
Chief Strategy Officer Ronald Hawkins has a prominent track record as an industry liaison for the San Diego Supercomputer Center. He has developed and maintained partnerships and collaborations with a wide range of companies, large and small, in segments including Aerospace & Defense, Genomics, Information Technology, Oil & Gas, Pharmaceuticals, and Public Utilities. Worked with colleagues to develop industry-funded centers of excellence in Big Data and Predictive Analytics. developed and executed a plan for transitioning an NSF-funded wide-area wireless research network to a sustainable public-private partnership.
